My concern about the response time of the Ambulance Service, along with many other residents’ worries are supposed to have been addressed by the EMAS. The Ambulance Trust want to create a few Ambulance hubs and a number of points where ambulances would wait. The Newark Ambulance Station was to close.

Newark Ambulance Station needs updating, it is in poor quality and not well maintained. However, EMAS must ensure that any new service gives very good response rates. Our rural area deserves better.

A new proposal for two further hubs in Nottinghamshire, one in Newark and one in Worksop, is being proposed. The EMAS Board will consider the new system in March.
