Richard Dunn our PCSO reports that the number of calls regarding metal thefts throughout the Sherwood area has dropped.

However, an address on Wakeling Close, Southwell has had 12 separate Chain Ropes taken, sometime between 23rd-24^th June.

Any metal in view of the roadside is a target for these travelling criminals and the Police appreciate there is only so much residents can do to protect their property. If anybody spots any vehicle that is acting suspiciously in their area, you must call the Neighbourhood Team and let them know. It is no good leaving it and then finding out your neighbour has had something taken.

Richard Dunn says that he knows by how many calls they receive regarding suspicious incidents that residents are being very vigilant but all the areas need to keep this up, especially in areas such as Muskham and Sutton on Trent, with easy access to the A1 for the criminals.
