Pedestrian Crossing Petition at Burgage and Station Road junction
Campaigner for Southwell & Villages Learn more
by Peter Harris on 27 June, 2012
A reminder that the Triathlon Bike ride is coming through Southwell, Maythorne and Kirklington this Sunday. There will be some disruption.
The route this year is different from last year, but I do expect there to be a large number of spectators in the town. I am sure that we will give the 1000 competitors, their families and supporters a warm welcome, and hope that they enjoy the sights – and are not too exhausted by their 2.4 mile run, 112 mile bike ride and then 26.2 mile run.
I wish all the Outlaw Triathletes and the organisers and volunteer helpers well.

Hi Peter. 3 of us old Southwellians, Jon Moorhouse (Woodland View) Andy HAyes (Nottingham Road) and Arnout Andrews (Caunton), all now expats, are taking part on the Outlaw and are really looking forward to riding through Southwell!
regards
Jon

Hope you each had successful times on your Triathlon, and that you had a warm Suthwell welcome.
