PCSO Richard Dunn reports that following my requests at the Safer Neighbourhood Group meeting, another speeding operation took place on Eakring Road, Wellow and Lower Kirklington Road, Southwell between 7.30am and 11am last Tuesday.

Only 1 Fixed Penalty Ticket was issued but also 10 warnings given to drivers just exceeding the limit. I welcome the fact that few drivers were exceeding the limit – and will ask for the work to reduce speed in our villages to continue.

Southwell Town Council is subsidising the Police Authority to keep the Police Station open in the town.
